Barbara Grant

I am Barbara Grant, Founder, Developmental Therapist, and Parenting Doula at Nudge and Cradle. I have over 10 years of experience supporting families of children with and without developmental delays and disabilities. I want to empower you to be able to engage with your child so that they can develop to their maximum potential, while making sure you also feel supported and cared for.

I have a Masters in Education and Human Development in Early Childhood Special Education, with specializations in working with infants, teaching children with visual impairments, and supporting infant/early childhood and family mental health. I have worked in early intervention programs in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC, and have spoken at conferences and trainings in the area, as well as guest lectured to students at the George Washington University. I am an adjunct faculty member at Trinity University.

I am passionate about providing support and guidance to families so that they can be their child’s best teacher and advocate.
